The Fruitacy Rules Are Up! / Veronica Rowe and Hikaru Miyata - Photoshoot & Download!

Well, that was done much sooner than I thought. The Fruitacy Challenge rules are now up, so head over to the new page and check them out! Since that's out of the way, I'm hoping to get the first chapter of my Fruitacy up sometime in the next week. Also, I've decided to go with Fruit Parfait as the title. It was a close call between Fruit Parfait, Fruit Salad, and Fruit Cake, but I finally settled on Fruit Parfait because I feel that the name is more expressive. Parfait also means "perfect" in French, so maybe having that in the name will be a good luck charm and this Fruitacy will go far!

I finally finished the photoshoot with my newest couple! Their names are Veronica Rowe (my first attempt at a hipster - how did I do? lol) and Hikaru Miyata (my first attempt at an Asian sim, who I think I did pretty well on). Here they are!

^ That pose is just too cute. I think I'll have to do that one for all my couples. <3

You can download Veronica here.
You can download Hikaru here.
You can download them as a household here.

Please download and recommend them! :) So... How did I do on my first Asian sim and hipster sim? lol

I hope everyone's summer is going great so far! Mine definitely is... Lots of Sims, swimming, hanging out, and mostly importantly - ICE CREAM!!!! (I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream... :P ) Ahhh, good times...

This is my last summer before high school hits me. Right now I'm enjoying the freedom, but I know I'm going to start freaking out when fall approaches. I'm doing IB next year - and for those of you who don't know, it's the highest and hardest program offered. I have a friend with a brother in high school, and although he's incredibly smart he opted out of IB and then his mega-nerdy buddies started failing. One of my friends who's a year older than me said that she got several hours of homework the first week of school... o_o Maybe I'm just scaring myself over nothing. I'll probably do just fine. Take the bull by the horns, eh?

Well, I'm going to go visit my Kindle because it's been sitting on my bedside table for far too long. Insurgent and The Maze Runner Trilogy, here I come...

The Sims 2 Seasons! / A "Fruitacy" Coming Soon?

As some of you may know, Saturday was my birthday! I've been putting off the photoshoot with my new sims because...I got Sims 2 Seasons for my birthday!

I started playing when I was about 4 years old. Whenever my family drove to my cousins' house, I'd play Sims 2 with them and I thought it was the greatest thing in the world. I didn't actually start buying anything until Sims 3, but about 2 years I decided to start going back and buying the Sims 2 series. Now Seasons has been added to my collection! :D

I was super excited when I opened the present, because I'd been wanting Seasons for years but I couldn't find it in any of the stores. Riverblossom Hills is pretty cute but I find it really tiny - but nevertheless, I'm playing there to experience the new town. The plantsims aren't nearly as freakish as I originally thought, and I'm kinda tempted to turn one of my sims into one. :P I made a new family last night after going on a CC spree and built them a (very suckish and incomplete) house. I'm against using cheats, even for Sims 2 where it's impossible to keep their motives high, so they've just got a kitchen, a bathroom, and a bed so far. Oh yeah, and I gave them a little pond to fish and a garden.

This was the only image I captured that was actually saved. It beats me how you can get this game to save your screenshots, because I took like 20 and only this one stayed. Anyways, here is Elizabeth Fuchs (a townie) making an extremely attractive derp face.

Once I figure out how to save those screenshots, I'll get some more up of me thoroughly enjoying this game. ^_^ Best birthday present ever? I think so.

The other thing I wanted to talk to you guys about today is a new challenge idea that I came up with. The idea came to me while playing Fruit Ninja: a Fruitacy. It's somewhat like a Rainbowcy, except it goes beyond just colors - the sims represent different fruits, and their personalities will be in relation to people's opinions on the fruits. For example, one person might see apples as bitter, and another might see apples as fresh and fun. These two opinions could make for totally different personalities for, say, a pair of twins. The basic rules of a Legacy Challenge will apply, but with some slight alterations and a different scoring system.

I'll have a complete list of rules up sometime next week (or this week, if I finish early), and hopefully a "Fruitacy" coming soon to this blog!

I'm having a vote on a title over at this thread. Right now I'm between Fruit Parfait and Fruit Salad - I think Fruit Parfait sounds cooler (Fruit Salad makes me think of lettuce, even though fruit salad isn't actual salad), but Mikezumi's comment about how her heritage makes her a "fruit salad" got me thinking about some interesting ways to incorporate that title into the story. I also like Fruit Cake, which seems to be a big favorite. If you want to cast your vote, then click the link above!

It's kind of strange that I like this idea so strongly - I don't think I've ever had a vampire for longer than a week, and the idea of a Rainbowcy has just never seemed interesting to me. Somehow, in some way, I'm taking a particular interest in this whole Fruitacy thing. (After all, I wouldn't be telling you guys about it if I wasn't really excited about it!) Hopefully this story will work out better than the legacy that never happened. I've already got a better plot than I had for Sunny and Drew, plus the fact that this is my own idea is pretty awesome. :)

Last but not least, a Sims meme!

(Source: F*** Yeah Sims Meme.) I find this one funny because it's so true. XD

Anyways, I've got a big checklist of stuff (Sims-related and not) to start on, so I'll see you back here in a few days! Check back and if you're a regular reader, follow my blog!

School's Out / Thanks for the Comfort :)

School's out, and it's summer time!!! Time to go swimming, hang out with friends, party hard, and play Sims! The years have gone by so quickly... I just can't believe I'm going to high school next year. o_o It's crazy.

I'm not the overexcited freshman type, nor am I the nervous freshman type that thinks everyone in high school does drugs. I'm cool with this and I think high school's going to be fun. Difficult, since I'm going to try and tackle the Pre-IB courses plus French, orchestra (the audition results were posted today, and I was one of the few that made the middle orchestra!), and biomedical science! But still fun. :) Gawd, I don't know how I'm going to find time to play Sims next year. :S My friend who's a year older than me is still up at 1 am every night doing Pre-IB work.

So yeah. I'm kind of sad though because yesterday I found out that my best friend Brian is moving halfway across the country. :( (This is the same Brian that was so sweet and caring when Charlie passed away awhile back.) Today was the last day I got to spend with him, and I was up crying until the sun went up this morning. I've only known him for a year, but the news was just so sudden and shocking that it just kind of destroyed me. :( I know we'll both find a way to be happy, and I'm sure we'll video chat and stuff, but I'm still going to miss that guy like crazy.

I just want to say a quick thank-you to everyone over at this thread that posted pictures and videos and music to help make me feel better, as well as tell their stories and how things turned out all right in the end. It really made me feel a lot better, and I can't thank you guys enough. :)

I'm planning on getting a post out either tomorrow morning or Sunday afternoon with two new sims (yes, a couple - I'm still celebrating slow dancing with my crush last Friday!). There's a gap in the middle of those times where I won't be able to work on the photoshoot, since my birthday is tomorrow and I'm having a few friends over to go out and see the Avengers and then have a sleepover! But yeah, you'll get to see my first attempts at creating an Asian sim and a hipster sim. I'm still not sure if I failed or epicly succeeded, lol!

Happy summer, everyone!

So About that Legacy... / Sunny and Drew - Couple Photoshoot and Download! / Breezy Bungalow - Pics and Download!

Well, the idea for the legacy died. Not that there ever really was an "idea", just a smidgit of one. The idea went as follows:

Sunny is a girl who has never said a word in her life. She's shy and feels invisible, and she left home the day she turned 18 so she could fade into the background of the world. Then, Drew comes along and he sees her as a beautiful girl with a voice louder than anyone else's, and it's love at first sight.

What happens after that, you ask? I don't know. That is the problem; that is why the idea died. Somehow I would have to get from Point A (Sunny and Drew meet) to Point B (Sunny finally speaks and tells Drew she loves him) without a roadmap, which all my fellow writers out there know never works.

There will be a story eventually, I can promise you that. I'll have to wait for some inspiration - maybe I'll take longer showers, since all my idea come to me in the bathroom. (I don't know why!) For now, I'll just keep doing what I do best and make some sims! Sunny and Drew are now available for download, as well as the meh-ish house I created for Sunny. Photo time!

First, some couple photos of Sunny and Drew! Aren't they just adorable? <3

Ohhh, they're just so cute together... I played them for a couple days and did a quickie romance plot just because they're such an adorable couple. ;) Their song for the Musicacy half was "Let Love In" by The Goo Goo Dolls, if anyone's curious, and the emotion was shyness (in case you hadn't figured that out already).

Sunny can be downloaded here.
Drew can be downloaded here.
They can be downloaded together here.

And now for some pics of my first house upload!

The house can be downloaded here.

I'm pretty happy with the way the house turned out. I'm not a pro builder or anything, so for me this is pretty good! :P Plus, it's just a starter, so I didn't want to be anything too fancy about it. I do wish I'd made it more colorful, though. Maybe it's so grey because I've been brought up in very colorless houses... For my next building project, I'll step out of my comfort zone and try to make everything super colorful! :D

Enough about Sims! I want to say a few things about the recent happenings in my life... There's been a lot of excitement recently. First of all, my birthday's coming up this Saturday, and I'm looking forward to going to see the Avengers with a few close friends! Secondly, SUMMER! I have only 3 more days of school left until freedom! Five more exams, three end-of-the-year parties, and then summer bliss. :) And the last thing that has been lingering in the back of my mind every second of every day... Last Friday, we had our formal, and wow was that night ever amazing! /beginloverant For ten months, I've had a crush on my best guy friend, and on Friday he surprised me by asking me to slow dance! The best part? My favorite song, Drops of Jupiter, was what we danced to. <3 The romantic details of that moment are to be kept between me and my crush, so I'll leave it at it was amazing and life changing. The rest of the night was a jumble of sugar highs, photo booth madness, conga lines, and running around pointlessly. Ahhh, good times... :) That night made my life.

So if I start creating a lot of couples... You know why. ;)

That's all for today! God, this post took me a couple days to write... One to take photos and upload the stuff, the other to write out all this stuff. :P Totally worth it, though. I got some good stuff on here. Keep checking back guys, and please follow!

A New Title for the Legacy

Some of you who frequent my blog may have noticed that I had a post up awhile ago with some info on my story that is no longer here. That's because I decided the title didn't fit the story quite right, and so I'm taking a step back and I'm trying to come up with a new, better title. I'm not sure how long that's going to take, but trust me, I'm spending every spare moment trying to think up a cool-sounding title.

The story's going to be postponed a bit, since obviously I can't start until I have a title, so bear with me... I'm just as anxious to get the first chapter out as you all are to read it! Patience, though, patience...

Emma MacNary - Photoshoot & Download

I've created a new sim for you guys, and her name is Emma MacNary! Emma's a very preppy girl, and I intentionally made her very girly because I wanted her to be the kind of girl who no one expects to be smart, yet turns out to be a total nerd. (Kind of like me, heheh!) Her everyday outfit and formalwear were inspired by the Hollister patterns that they use over and over. I don't have any Hollister-esque dresses in my game so I couldn't achieve the full Hollister effect, but I think I came pretty close, especially with the formal dress. :)

You can download Emma from the Exchange here.

Name: Emma MacNary
Gender: Female
Age: YA
Fitness: Trim
Weight: Thin
Subtype: Human
Traits: Workaholic, Bookworm, Party Animal, Social Butterfly, Genius

I think I'll continue with this sim-making stuff, since Arynn got a ton of positive feedback over on the forums! Glad to know you guys are liking my creations. :) I hope you like Emma just as much!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there! And to the children... You better treat 'em like goddesses today. ;)

P.S. The house is coming along really well! I'll probably get started on writing the prologue tomorrow or Monday, but I won't get around to taking pictures until Tuesday at the absolute earliest. I'm hoping to have the prologue up by Saturday, but I make no promises. ;) Expect a preview soon!

Insane Rain / Work in Progress Photos of Sunny's House!

I just came back from an orchestra concert, and all I can say is wow. It was raining so hard that my mom, brother, and I had to wait inside while we sent my dad to go get our car and drive it up to the curb. It was hailing, with thunder and lightning every few seconds and flash flooding in the streets! It was insane! When my dad pulled up, my mom and brother took the umbrella and ran, so of course I got to run through an ankle-high river of rainwater in my nice dress and shoes, carrying a several hundred dollar viola. Thankfully my viola wasn't damaged since it was in its case, and the dress will recover from the heavy soaking. But wow, talk about a thunderstorm! Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. This was awesome. I love the rain! Besides, Texas was in need of a good storm. Anyways, I'm warming myself up in my bedroom with a cup of hot chocolate and I'm watching Modern Family on Hulu. I think this is the best part about getting caught in heavy rain - you get to pretend you're freezing and then eat yummy food and sit around under a blanket.

Yesterday I started building Sunny's house, which I will be using as the main setting of the story, although there will be some scenes around town.

I'm using Union Cove by Carl's Sims 3 Forum, by the way. It's a gorgeous, really well-made world that can be found here.

I've barely finished anything so far, therefore what you're about to see will seem quite disappointing for the time being. (The den is the only thing that I have completely finished so far. I know, I build at a snail's pace.) However, once I furnish it more and work on the landscaping, it will look much better. I'm not a master builder or anything, but I'm trying my best! :P

Thanks for reading! Things are almost ready for me to start writing the story! God, I'm so excited! By the way, the house will be up for download on the release day of the prologue. I intend to keep it CC-free so everyone (with the required EPs and SPs) will feel comfortable downloading it. So... Keep checking back for when I set an official release date!

RIP Charlie / Meet Sunny Caillat, Founder of My Legacy!

Hey everyone! I meant to get this update up yesterday, but... I'm sorry to say that one of the kittens my family has been fostering passed away. :( We picked up five abandoned kittens from the shelter a couple weeks ago and have been bottle feeding them and taking care of them at our house. There's Cleopatra (the only black one), Jack (orange), Cora (renamed Corey, also orange), Minnie (renamed Mickey, also orange), and little Charlie (the runt, orange). Charlie was never really doing so well, and he just didn't make it through Saturday night. I was pretty crushed, since Charlie was always my favorite. It's understandable that I didn't want to post on my blog while I was going through that; I kinda just wanted to listen to sad music and cry on the phone with my best friend, Brian. RIP, Charlie, the little kitten with a big heart. <3

After a full day of moping, I'm feeling better and ready to do some simming! I just finished creating Sunny Caillat, the founder of my upcoming story! And yes, I totally stole her last name from Colby Caillat. I thought it sounded pretty, so... Sunny Caillat, everyone!

She's currently not available for download, but will be at the end of Generation 1.

Since she will be the star of my story, you'll need to know a bit about her! Here's a short bio that will fill you in on what you need to know:

Sunny sees, but is not seen. All her life she has captured the beauty of the world on her camera, wordless records of the past that convey meanings to her that no one else understands. Sunny's parents never understood why Sunny never spoke, and they never knew she was processing messages from the universe greater than they could ever imagine. Sunny has grown up and moved away into a little house alone, where she sits on the porch every day and waits for someone to see her for who she truly is. Many take notice of her beauty and sweet smile, but none can give Sunny what she truly desires... None can see beauty in silence.

And, just because I want to feed you some eye candy... Drew Adams! I'm not giving you any information on this guy, just a very attractive photo of him and the promise of a great story!

My story will be an Emotionacy/Musicacy, with the emotion for the first generation being shyness. I haven't decided on a song for this generation yet, but I'm leaning very strongly towards one in particular. Keep in mind that while I will be following most of the challenge rules, I will not be following all of them, and I will not always be using the same emotions as listed in the Emotionacy rules. I will be keeping track of points and such, so I'll have a little update on the score at the end of each chapter. I'm not making any promises about how soon the prologue will be out or how far apart new chapters will be, since I rarely stick to the schedules I make for myself, so I'll just say that the updates will come out at reasonable intervals.

For those of you reading my blog, keep checking back! I'll be updating every few days! Bye for now...

Arynn Dawson - Photoshoot & Download

Hey everyone! I'm back for my second update with pics from a photoshoot I did with my newest sim, Arynn Dawson. I have to say, I'm really pleased with how she turned out - I was going for a sweet, semi-gothic look with her. I gave her girly outfits in mostly darker colors, and I feel I achieved the effect I was aiming at. Here she is, the beautiful Arynn Dawson!

You can download Arynn from the Exchange here.

Name: Arynn Dawson
Gender: Female
Age: YA
Fitness: Trim
Weight: Normal
Sub Type: Human
Traits: Loves the Outdoors, Artistic, Charismatic, Perfectionist, Savvy Sculptor

And yes, Arynn's last name was inspired by Jack Dawson from Titanic. <3

Thanks for reading! Hope you liked her! ^_^
